In August, the House of Angostura® announced its partnership with the Massy Women's Cricket Premier League (WCPL) 2023 as a proud sponsor, represented by Angostura Chill. The eagerly awaited WCPL, scheduled from August 31st to September 10th, took place in Barbados with the final match hosted in Trinidad.
The collaboration between Angostura Chill and the Massy Women's CPL underscores a commitment to championing the empowerment of women in sports across Trinidad and Tobago and the broader Caribbean region.
According to Sophie Charles-Barber, Executive Manager of Marketing at Angostura®, this sponsorship sends a resounding message about the significance of women's sports. Before the event took place she said,

Sophie explained how the partnership was a natural fit for the brand, with 60% of its core demographic being women. She said,

The 2023 Massy Women's Caribbean Premier League marked the second iteration of the domestic Twenty20 cricket league. The opening match on August 31st saw Barbados Royals facing off against the Guyana Amazon Warriors at the prestigious Kensington Oval in Barbados.
